Hump Day: 7-6-11

Summer in Colorado means:

Thunderstorms

Every afternoon around three-ish (maybe four)

the clouds roll in and the rain starts to fall

Today it came hard

the rain poured and my hair was soaked in the short run from 

the Walmart door to my car

it looked as though I had stepped out of the shower

fully clothed however, and

 it wasn't like a sign

and the universe wasn't trying to hint at me to shower more often

I shower all of the time, O.K?

I evened showered an hour before I went out and to be honest

I was actually a little mad my hair got wet again

Do you know how long it takes to 

dry these locks?

Let me tell you...about 15 whole minutes

I bet you thought I was going to say a lot longer, huh?

Gotcha!

All of my complaining really threw you off

I'm sorry, and for that

I'll let you in on a little secret 

sometimes I don't even dry my hair

yeah, I let it air dry

shhhhh

If that was hard to read, it's because it would have been hard to hear too

When my voice gets softer, my letters get smaller

that's the only thing that makes sense

But now I'm off topic,

I'm really on a rant

O.K.

Since it is Wednesday....again,

(the weeks just go by so fast during the summer, I lose track of time)

I share with you, my inspiration

Lightning

todays inspiration doesn't just come from my love of Harry Potter

I mean maybe it does a little

or maybe a lot

it's not like the movie comes out July 15th or anything

I googled that, just so you know....

but recently,

I've found myself looking for lightning

even hoping for it

It is so awesome to watch

and when I was younger, my brother and I used to lay on my parents' bed 

in the dark and just watch it for hours

oh how I miss those days

Now, I have to worry about what will happen when I need to drive in it

I absolutely hate driving in lightning

and I love to drive...with a new car, why wouldn't I?

but when it is lightning I don't even want to be in or around a car

I always think that somehow the lightning will be aiming for me

like it knows

I am scared and will purposely strike my car...

Dogs can do that kind of stuff too ya know
they can sense you are scared and will attack you

but, for your sake
and mine

I will save my story for another time

you will laugh

I am embarrassed
