Sorry it has been so long!
like usual I am behind,
this time it is because I have been packing up
I'm moving into my apartment
FRIDAY!!
I know you are as excited as I am
so I will personally make sure I take pictures to post for you :)
But, the real reason I am posting is to let you in on that little
long awaited story about how dogs
can sense you are scared
So approximately eight years ago
my great aunt and uncle
came to visit
They had a little silver miniature poodle
that looked something like this
without the bandana...
and bow
sorry,
I didn't get any pictures of this dog
soon you'll know why
and it's not because I didn't blog back then
because I didn't
but I also didn't like dogs
probably because of one's like this...
So way back when
while I was still a child,
my great aunt and uncle showed up at the door
I was all ready to meet them
until I saw this little dog
so of course, being the little girl I was, I ran to the bathroom to hide
my mom finally came and got me
and told me the dog had been put on a leash
I guess I thought I would be safe
so I vacated the bathroom
and headed to the computer, out of doggy sight
being so scared, I became rather thirsty
and headed to the kitchen for a drink
my mom informed me my brother was going to take the dog for a walk
and it would be nice if I would come outside for a while
I agreed, since the dog was gone and turned to head out the door
well, what my mother had forgotten to mention was my brother had not left yet
and he and the dog were still there
apparently my brother had let go of the leash to tie his shoes...
perfect timing because as I turned the corner
so did the dog
we had a stare down for about five seconds
and then this happened
did I forget to mention the dogs name was Tootsie Roll?
not so cute anymore, huh?
well you can bet I dropped my drink and sprinted for the door
so did Tootsie
I leaped from the stairs and into my dad's lap
as she chased me down the hall
I don't think I have ever jumped farther in my entire life
or been chased from my house...
by a miniature poodle...
named Tootsie Roll...
Oh how I am embarrassed.
and scarred.
Never will I ever own a miniature poodle
or a poodle
they are too similar
and I am a wussy
However, I can proudly say that since then,
I have never had to use my dad
as a protection against a dog...
and that I am right about dogs sensing "scaredy cats"
like me

Little dogs can be SOO mean! My grandparents owned miniature poodles (a bit more chubby than the ones pictured) that gave me a good scare once when I was younger. That's probably why I like bigger dogs better :)

This is just kinda HILARIOUS! :) I have a very friendly and kind poodle mix (a peke-a-poo) but I have seen a few tiny dogs go all devil incarnate. Those monsters look/act pretty mean even thought they're nice and tiny. Great story!

little dogs are crazy, sometimes! i think i'm perfectly happy with my incredibly passive golden retriever :)
hahaha, hey any dog can be scary in my opinion. this is too funny. Scarring for you but funny.
